These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Chillis Galore Forums. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.
Welcome to Chillis Galore forums. In order to make your stay as pleasant and constructive as possible please take your time to read through the rules, it will help you navigate the pits and traps this community has created for new members.
1 ) Read up before asking! There are tons of guides, FAQs and each forum has a dedicated Q&A thread with additional info.
1a) Use the search function before posting. Chances are your question has already been answered.
2 ) Respect the netiquette: Lurk and get to know the forum before you post. Remember that these forums can be viewed by all ages and not just adults. sexual, racist items, expressing extreme political views or links to explicit material will be removed and if this is repeated then action will be taken against the poster.
3 ) Keep the focus: questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved, locked or simply be deleted.
4 ) Be nice to each other and respect the moderator. Profanity and insults will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with another member turn to the respective moderator and if the moderator can't help you send a private message to Admin.
5 ) Spamming will cause Immediate ban and blocking.
6 ) Selling/Advertising. Forum users are not permitted to post advertisements or commercial solicitations on the forums unless previously approved by the site owner. This includes offering goods or services for sale and for profit. Non-profit offers of help from established members are of course welcome.
6a) Admin & Mods reserve the right to delete or quarantine post which are inappropriate, each post will be judged on its own merit and must comply with all Forum rules. Any posts requiring monetary exchange (buying, selling, sponsorship, charities, fund raising events etc) will be scrutinized carefully before allowing the posts to remain. Obviously longer term members ( more than 25 posts) will be given more of an acceptance level than a new member who signs up for a specific purpose and leaving again.
7 ) Keep the size of personal images down to keep boards running smoothly. There is now no longer limited space available to hold your images on these forums, see topic in FAQ helping with image hosting.
8 ) No cross posting. Post your message once, to the appropriate forum and nowhere else or it will be locked or deleted without warning.
9 ) Don't post just to increase your number of posts. If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post. The number of posts on this board has no direct relation to the experience of a member.
10 ) Use of inappropriate language. The use of swear words, or disguised swear words, in a post is not allowed on the forums. Any attempt to avoid the swear filter will be dealt with.
11) Too many emoticons. Please don't overuse emoticons, too many make it difficult to read a post.
12) Bumping of posts. "Bumping" is the act of adding to a thread just to get your topic back to the top of the list in a forum and should not be done.
Users who keep bumping their topics face action that may include the locking of the topic and / or removal of forum access. #
